    The WSBK pilots of the BMW S1000RR continued prep for the upcoming season by traveling to Phillip Island, Australia, for two more days of superbike testing.

    New Alstare Suzuki rider Leon Haslam admits his hopes for the 2010 FIM World Superbike Championship season have been boosted by the performance of the bike during winter testing.

    The 26-year-old Briton, who has moved to the team from the now defunct Stiggy Racing Honda squad, will team up with Frenchman Sylvain Guintoli as the Belgium-based team look to battle for the title after some trying times since Troy Corser took the title for them in 2005.

    BMW Motorrad Motorsport riders Troy Corser and Ruben Xaus rode superbly in both the two 18-lap races in Doha today and earned themselves three top ten placings. Troy finished ninth in both races and Ruben took 13th in race one and followed that with a hard-fought for tenth in race two.

    Team BMW Motorrad Motorsport head to the Losail circuit in Qatar knowing that it will be harder to get another superb top ten position than it was in the opening round of the championship in Phillip Island, Australia. In Phillip Island the team benefited from a two-day test prior to the event, but their first chance of seeing the Losail racetrack will be the first practice session on Thursday morning.
