Imola is considered a “home” track for the Borgo Panigale-based Ducati, and the 1199 R did nothing but impress all weekend. Aruba.it Racing Ducati’s Chaz Davies completely dominated the round, topping free practice, earning the Superpole, and both 18-lap races on Saturday and Sunday.
Race two at Motorland Aragon World Superbike Sunday was a history maker – not so much due to the results, but because it was the 700th World SBK (the first was April 3, 1988, at Donington Park in the UK). Perfect racing conditions welcomed the 25-rider World Superbike grid for race one of round three at Motorland Aragon in Spain.
