He is one of the most successful riders of all time, and the holder of multiple medals at the ESPN X Games. On a recent Metal Mulisha tour of Australia, Deegan and his crew sold out six venues of 10,000-plus seat venues, in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Perth and Adelaide.
I read once that the planning stage of a motorcycle adventure should last an entire year. The same book told me to make maps and guides, and draw all sorts of lines in the sand. Take 12 months, 365 days to screw it all together and make cast iron a plan that will sail your ship safely through to the other side. Do this, and all will be fine. And, yet, here I was, blazing out of Sydney on a tiny motorcycle bound for London having packed and planned in just 48 hours.

30,000 km, 24 Countries
In February 2010, French-born Australians Stephane Etienne and Jean-Marc Siron will set out on a 30,000km motorcycle ride from Sydney, Australia to Paris, France to raise funds for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), commencing the first trans-continental journey of the WorldRiderZ.
With 88% of lots sold, there was plenty to get revved up about at Bonhams’ Sale of Pioneer, Vintage and Collectors’ Motorcycles at The International Classic MotorCycle Show, Stafford on Sunday April 26th.
Beyond the sheer quantity of the 385 lots sold, there were some significant prices achieved. Top price was fetched by a 1957 Gilera 500cc Four-Cylinder Racer Re-creation, possessing modern Manx Grand Prix history, at an impressive £76,300.

The Cooper Collection of motorcycles mothballed for 30 years will be auctioned by Bonhams on June 20th at their new premises at Kidlington, near Oxford, in association with the world famous VMCC Banbury Run. The bikes range in estimates from £100 to £10,000 and will be sold without reserve.
