Harley-Davidson, Inc. (NYSE:HOG) today announced it will keep its motorcycle operations in York, Pa., and move forward with plans to restructure those operations.
The announcement follows yesterday’s ratification of a new seven-year labor agreement by company employees at York, represented by International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Local Lodge 175, and today’s decision by the Harley-Davidson Board of Directors to approve the restructuring plan and related funding.
The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) announced today the 2010 schedule for the AMA Racing ATV National Hare Scrambles Championship. The series determines the country’s top ATV hare-scrambles racers in a range of classes with national awards and No. 1 plates.
"Last year, the AMA broke new ground with the AMA Racing ATV National Hare Scrambles Championship Series," said AMA Director of Racing Joe Bromley. "For the first time, we gave ATV riders their own national hare scrambles series.

In a surprise move, the chairman of a U.S. House subcommittee has scheduled a hearing for next week on a proposal that would ban off-highway motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), and bicycles from more than 9 million acres of public land in Utah, the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) reports.
The AMA is urging all riders to contact their U.S. representatives immediately to ask them to oppose the proposal, H.R. 1925, which is the America’s Red Rock Wilderness Act of 2009.

Round 8 – AMA Motocross Series – Washougal Motocross Park
Chad Reed continues to dominate AMA Motocross as the twotime AMA Supercross Champion picked up another victory this past weekend. Reed won both 450 class motos to take the overall victory at Washougal Motocross Park in Washougal, Washington, on Saturday afternoon. With this victory, the Australian extended his lead in the overall championship points standings. Rockstar Makita Suzuki teammate Michael Byrne also had cause to celebrate.
