There’s no doubt that Jason DiSalvo will be a main competitor this year in AMA Daytona Sportbike.
The Latus Motors Ducati 848 rider has already won the Daytona 200, and set the fastest lap time around Miller Motorsports Park on Day 2 of the officicial AMA Pro Racing test at the Salt Lake City circuit earlier this week.

Young New York based racer PJ Jacobsen has once again shown some significant speed. Jacobsen, riding his Celtic Racing Fast By Ferracci Ducati 848EVO, was one of the fastest riders on the track during this week’s official AMA Pro Racing testing period, which was held at the immaculate Miller Motorsports Park in Utah.

Following is the full AMA Pro Racing review of the two-day test at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah May 2-3. Again, it was Josh Hayes who dominated the AMA Superbike category aboard the Monster Energy Graves Yamaha YZF-R1. In Daytona Sportbike, Daytona 200 winner Jason DiSalvo was quickest aboard the Latus Ducati 848.

Miller Motorsports Park has announced the lineups for its two concerts that will be held on May 28 and May 29 as part of The BigM Weekend presented by Lucas Oil, which will feature the FIM Superbike World Championship and AMA Pro Road Racing.
There were many issues at the 2011 Daytona 200: the Dunlop tire heat problems that caused a red flag and subsequent lengthy break; the controversy over Team Latus Ducati 848EVO rider Jason DiSalvo winning due to being able to swap out the blown motor during that break; and the huge wreck on the first restart.
