Championship points leader Danny Eslick powered his GEICO Suzuki GSX-R around the Laguna Seca race course in 1:28.687 Saturday to earn a front row spot in Sunday’s AMA Pro Daytona SportBike race at the seventh annual Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix.
As the dawn of a new AMA Arenacross Series season looms just nine weeks away, the stars of the AMA Arenacross Series are prepared to put on a show for one final time in 2009 as Des Moines, Iowa’s Wells Fargo Arena plays host to the second annual prequel race. After a stellar debut one year ago, the prequel returns this weekend on November 7-8 with some of the biggest names in the sport in an all-out run for the money with $11,000 on the line.
The Des Moines race is a standalone race and not part of the 2010 AMA Arenacross Series schedule.

Michael Jordan Motorsports rider and Georgia native Geoff May continues to excel at Superpole, putting his #54 National Guard Jordan Suzuki on the front row for the second straight AMA Pro Racing American Superbike round today at Road Atlanta. Improving upon his Position 4 (P4) at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana CA, May piloted his Suzuki GSX-R 1000 around the 2.56 mile Road Atlanta circuit in 1:26.943 to place himself in P3 on the grid.

Michael Jordan Motorsports riders Aaron Yates and Geoff May each qualified for the front row in Round 2 of the AMA Pro Racing American Superbike Championship at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA. Aaron Yates of the #23 Jordan Suzuki team lowered his Basic Qualifying time during Superpole to 1:24.759, putting his GSXR-1000 in 2nd position on the grid.
