2011 Honda Motorcycle
Here was something fairly unexpected from Honda – a brand new sport bike powered by an oversquare 249cc single cylinder motor with a 10,500- rpm redline, the CBR 250 R.
The liquid-cooled powerplant has double overhead cams, fuel injection via a 38mm throttle body, a counterbalancer, and ABS for the single 296mm front disc.
The trend toward larger, Super-Size-Me engines on so many motorcycles in recent years has given us quite a few liter and liter-plus options to choose from. Honda is riding against the grain with the CBR 250 R – a not surprising move, given the global economic climate.
Honda has just announced a new CBR600RR for 2010. The 2010 motorcycle appears to be an evolution of the 2009 and clearly with bold new graphics. The bike includes some braking performance improvements as well. This is part of American Honda Motor Company’s Powersports Division announced today and is the third new release of 2010 motorcycle models. This on-road motorcycle release follows the earlier announcements of Honda’s 2010 Fury, scooters, dirt bikes and ATVs.

Enabling a pair of CBR600RRs to achieve record-breaking speeds quickly and complete their runs safely, super-light, ultra-strong Blackstone Tek (BST) wheels entered the 200 MPH club at Bonneville Speed Week and broke five world records.
Jonathan Rea set the fourth fastest time in today’s opening qualifying session for Sunday’s eighth round World Superbike championship encounter at Misano in Italy, earning himself a provisional front row start.
Along with Carlos Checa, his Hannspree Ten Kate Honda team-mate, the 22-year-old Northern Irishman spent much of this morning’s free practice session evaluating Ohlins suspension alongside WP product, which has been run by the Ten Kate team in the past.
Automatic Multi-Purpose Motorcycle
Behind Honda’s corporate mask of conservatism, lies an embedded ethos to the technically radical. Past designs have included the in-line-6 CBX, the oval-pistoned NR750, and the hyper custom flat-6 Rune. Honda continues the tradition with an undeniably futuristic, groundbreaking design, but this time the engine has fewer cylinders.
