Team Rockstar Makita Suzuki’s Tommy Hayden and Blake Young are all set to pilot their Yoshimura-prepared Suzuki GSX-R1000s to the top of the podium at the upcoming first round of the 2011 AMA American Superbike Championship at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla, next weekend.
Renthal is proud to announce the signing of the Rockstar Makita Yoshimura Suzuki roadrace team for the 2010 AMA Pro Superbike series. For the 2010 racing season, Tommy Hayden and Blake Young will be using Renthal’s all new lightweight alloy sportbike clip-ons, grips and chainwheels on their Yoshimura tuned Suzuki GSXR1000’s.
In what can only be described as one of the most dominant teams in the American Superbike series, the signing of this team is important to the Renthal brand as we look to increase our market share in the sportbike segment.
Peter Doyle, after working with Mat Mladin on his championship run, is now Blake Young’s Suzuki GSX-R1000 crew chief. Pete will bring a wealth of experience to Blake’s effort and this is a big plus for the Wisconsin racer. Blake Young, had a great rookie Superbike season and is poised to challenge Tommy Hayden and others for the 2010 AMA Superbike title, now that 7-time champion Mat Mladin has retired.
