2011 British Superbike
This weekend, the fifth round of the 2011 British Superbike Championship gets underway at Knockhill.
HM Plant Honda rider Shane Byrne leads the series after three British SBK victories, but not far behind is his rival, the American John Hopkins on the Samsung Crescent Suzuki GSX-R1000, who will be seeking another victory in Knockhill.
Shane Byrne has the advantage in the early season title stakes but the former two times winner of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship needs to conquer the Croft circuit in North Yorkshire where so far he has not enjoyed a podium finish if he is to head off his challengers for the crown.
The 2011 British Superbike Championship got off to a flying start for the Swan Yamaha team in Brands Hatch as Tommy Hill took his first victory in race two and a second in race one to take the championship lead ahead of round two in Oulton park.
British Superbike, Round 1
The opening round of the 2011 British Superbike Championship kicked off over the Easter weekend, with one rider representing the USA.
The American John "Hopper" Hopkins didn’t bring any wins home for Samsung Crescent Suzuki, but managed a fifth-place finish in Race 2.
Shane Byrne made a winning return to the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship in an opening round thriller on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit, but he was unable to complete the double as Tommy Hill took the second race and with it the lead in the title stakes.
Guy Martin will make his debut for Relentless Suzuki by TAS Racing at the Easter weekend British Superbike Championship opener at Brands Hatch in Kent, alongside Australian Josh Brookes, who will also be making his debut in Relentless Suzuki colours.
2011 Isle of Man TT
American star Jeremy Toye is all set for a sensational return to the 2011 Isle of Man TT Races, fuelled by Monster Energy, with the news that he will line up on Kawasaki machinery for British Superbike team Sondel Sport Racing.
He will compete in the Dainese Superbike, Royal London 360 Superstock and PokerStars Senior TT races.

Highly experienced British Superbike protagonists, Crescent Suzuki Racing, has today confirmed technology electronics giants Samsung as 2011 title sponsors, while also announcing reigning British Superstock Champion Jon Kirkham as team mate to John Hopkins in the team’s two-rider Superbike series assault.

British Superbike regular Simon Andrews has been confirmed as the latest high profile newcomer aiming to make their Isle of Man TT debut in 2011.
Andrews, the Englishman, is already set to contend the 2011 British Superbike EVO Championship on the green and white Kawasaki ZX 10-R of Liverpool-based BSB team, PR Racing.
