2010 Motocross Charities: 8K Raised

Motocross Charity

Through various fundraisers and auctions held throughout the 2010 racing season, events produced by Racer Productions, MX Sports and MX Sports Pro Racing raised nearly $8000 for charitable foundations.

Special thanks goes to the racers, fans, friends and family members who bid on items and donated at events.

Items included eBay auctions of the official podium backdrops from the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship, the Can-Am GNCC Racing Series, the MotorcycleUSA.com Women’s Motocross Championship, the ITP Tires/Moose Racing ATVMX Championship, and the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s.

In addition, Team FMF/Makita Suzuki auctioned off Josh Strang’s GNCC Championship winning Suzuki RM-Z450 at the MotorcycleUSA.com Snowshoe GNCC in June.

The GNCC tour also raised funds for the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the Faith Alliance at the Ironman GNCC pink race in October.

Donation totals include: RiderDown.org (GNCC Racing and AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn Ranch) $4,417.47; Susan G Komen Foundation (GNCC Racing and the MotorcycleUSA.com Women’s Motocross Championship) $1,417.49; Faith Alliance (GNCC Racing) $1,029.16; Road 2 Recovery (Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship) $539.51 and 88 Live to Ride (ITP Tires/Moose Racing ATVMX Series) $374.32. In total, the donations raised $7,778 for the charities.

More fund raisers are planned for the 2011 Motocross season, including another round of eBay auctions for each official podium backdrop at the conclusion of the 2011 season. Fans are encouraged to save their money and bid on the ultimate Christmas gifts next year.
