
Motorcycle Sales
In November of 2010, 58,550 motorcycles were produced in Japan, according to the Japan Automobile Manufacture’s Association (JAMA).
In comparison to November of 2009, 48,581 units were produced; this represents an increase of 9,969 units or 20.5%. Following are the statistics:
November 2010 Motorcycle Production Figures by Class
- 50cc or under 6,748 units, up 2,060 units or 43.9%
- 51 – 125cc 6,851 units, up 268 units or 4.1%
- 126 – 250cc 9,787 units, up 110 units or 1.1%
- Over 250cc 35,164 units, up 7,531 units or 27.3%
Domestic sales (factory shipment) in November 2010 stood at 30,730 units, an increase of 43.3% as compared with the same month of the previous year.

- 51 – 125cc 11,625 units, up 178.0%
- 126 – 250cc 1,982 units, up 5.0%
- Over 250cc 1,211 units, up 11.1%
Exports (result) stood at 119.5% as compared with the same month of the previous year.
