BMW F 650 GS | Motorcycle Recall

BMW Motorcycle Recalls

BMW is recalling 2007-2010 F 650 GS motorcycles, due to problems with the front disc brakes.

BMW says F650GS models built from November 2006 through January 2010 are being recalled because a washer may interfere with the front disc brake fasteners’ torque. As a result, the fastener of multiple fasteners may become loose over time, which will cause the brake disc to become loose.

In the recall, the German Motorcycle manufacturer says a loose brake disc may interfere with proper braking performance, increasing the risk of a motorcycle crash.

No remedy has yet been reported. Owners of the F650 GS motorcycles included in this recall may contact BMW at 1-800-525-7417.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or visit safercar.gov.
