Ilmberger has introduced carbon fiber to its array of accessories for the BMW S1000RR superbike. Ilmberger, by way of Sierra BMW, has a line of products that modifies the 1000 RR motorcycle for the street, track days or racing.
Ilmberger’s Street parts have an exclusive clear powdercoat that offers protection from scratches and UV rays that is superior to paint. Ilmberger caters to those who want to retain the RR’s original look, while still taking advantage of carbon fiber bodywork with body panels painted in the original colors.
According to Sierra BMW spokesman, "Street parts offer the ultimate in strength and durability. No other carbon fiber compares!" All Ilmberger carbon parts meant for road use are certified street legal and come with type approval documentation, according to the company.
For racers or track day aficionados, Ilmberger also has a line of limited production track-specific pieces for the S 1000 RR. Race parts are finished in the same clear powdercoat, optimized for weight, and are race-approved, making them ideal for the track. Full fairing kits available, as well as individual pieces to make your Double-R track-ready.
All parts are made of 100% carbon, manufactured exclusively by autoclaving and finished with a clear plastic coating. Since 1990, Ilmberger has been producing the high quality carbon fiber products.
