Christophe Pourcel to Supercross Lites Texas

SX Race Report

Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki is ready to get to Dallas for the first of two Texas rounds in the AMA Supercross Lites Eastern Region.

The motorcycle racing series will race at Cowboys Stadium for the first time and everyone in the pits is excited to see the new facility.

As the season crosses its midpoint, Christophe Pourcel leads the way in the SX championship point standings. The French rider is adamant about repeating as the Eastern Region SX Lites champion, but he knows he has strong competition.

Christophe Pourcel Speaks…

"It is going to be a long fight," said Pourcel. "It was a tough weekend in Toronto, but I still finished third and I still have the points lead. I’m just going to keep working hard and try to get back on top."

For Dean Wilson, the trip to Toronto was bittersweet as he finished just one spot off of the podium in his adopted country. After week of media opportunities in Canada, the 18-year-old really wanted to be on the box.

"Finishing fourth isn’t bad," said Wilson. "But I know I can do better. Canada is a great place and the fans were behind me all night. It was a great experience and hopefully I can win there someday,"

Tyla Rattray was hoping to see his first Supercross action of the season, but his injured shoulder is keeping him out of the race this weekend. All of the action from Cowboys Stadium in the Dallas area can be seen Sunday on SPEED.
