The BMW R 12 nineT is designed to be an affordable motorcycle that is also amenable to customization. If you’re not up to taking your R 12 nineT to a custom shop to be built to your specifications, BMW has a broad range of accessories you can add. Now, the German marque has The Tracker package, which is equivalent to a new model if you install it on an R 12 nineT.

As you have undoubtedly determined from the name, The Tracker package turns your upright retro sportbike into a motorcycle patterned after a flat track racer. Here’s what’s involved in the package, which thrives on Blackstorm Metallic paint, starting from the front.

The plastic front fender is short and sweet, with multiple textures. It only fits a 17-inch rim.

The headlight cowling extended above the round headlight. BMW calls it a cockpit fairing and claims that it “tangibly reduces the effect of wind pressure on the rider.” It doubles as a destination for retro graphics and as a number plate, should you want to indulge in hooligan racing.

Side cover number plates add to the competitive visual edge of the BMW R 12 nineT Tracker kit. The plastic is a tenth-inch thick, and mounting hardware is included.
You get a fresh rear end for your R 12 nineT. A new license plate holder (black or silver) is attached to a solo seat with an abbreviated cowling. The turn indicators are multi-function, as they are also brake lights.

The colors you see on the number plates and headlight cowling are stickers, which are included in The Tracker kit. Colors included in the sticker kit include Light White, Sun Yellow, and Night Black. Note that the numbers are not included with the kit, so you don’t have to be #35.

BMW doesn’t have a price for The Tracker accessories package, and it should be available before the end of the year—just in time for the 2026 AMA American Flat Track season.
