Jett Lawrence extended his unbeaten streak into the second half of the 2025 AMA Pro Motocross Championship Series with a 2-1 performance at Spring Creek MX Park in Millville, Minnesota. Hunter Lawrence went 1-2 on the day for the runner-up spot as both riders took home a 47-point haul, extending their leads over the rest of the field. With four rounds remaining, Jett has a 52-point lead over Hunter. Hunter has a 38-point cushion on Justin Cooper, who is one point ahead of Eli Tomac.

Jett Lawrence stays unbeaten in the 2025 AMA Pro Motocross Championship Series with a 2-1 ride at Spring Creek MX Park.

Jett and Hunter won their motos without drama, with both leading every lap. Jett scored a holeshot in both motos. However, in Moto 1, Jett fell on the first lap and was in P10. Jett worked his way up to P2 on lap 6 (of 18), but was never able to show Hunter a wheel. Jett was never challenged in the second moto.

Jett, Hunter, and Chase Sexton ran 1-2-3 for every lap of Moto 2, with Sexton going 3-3 for P3 overall in his second race back from an injury suffered in the opening round. The Lawrence brothers were in a class of their own at the Spring Creek National. Sexton was 24 seconds off the lead and nine seconds short of P2 in the first moto. It got worse in Moto 2, as Sexton was 40 seconds behind runner-up Hunter and nearly 49 seconds off Jett’s winning performance.

The first-ever overall win for Hunter Lawrence remain elusive. His 1-2 ride wasn’t enough for the top spot on the podium.

R.J. Hampshire was in the top five for the second week in a row, going 4-4. In his third race back after a late-season Monster Energy AMA Supercross injury, Justin Barcia took an unlikely P5 overall after going 8-7 on the day.

In his second race since returning from an injury at the season opener at Fox Raceway, Chase Sexton turned a distant 3-3 day into P3 overall.

Tomac, Cooper, and Aaron Plessinger had forgettable days at the Spring Creek National. Tomac went 6-9 for a P7 overall, finishing over a minute behind the leader in both motos. Justin Cooper’s 5-13 gave him a P10 overall. An illness caused Plessinger to drop out of the first moto after running in P2 for the first four laps. Plessinger did not line up for Moto 2.

The series heads west next week for the Washougal National at Washougal MX Park in Washougal, Washington. That means West Coast viewers can sleep in—check out our 2025 Pro Motocross Television Schedule for details.
