2014 Ducati Monster 1200 S Video
One of the most iconic motorcycles to roll out of Italy – the Ducati Monster – celebrates its 21st birthday in 2014.
And as part of the celebration, Ducati has released an entirely new version – the Monster 1200, and the upgraded Monster 1200 S.
The S version is all the rave, considering it brings back memories of the S4R and S4RS Monsters that put huge horsepower in a lightweight, ergonomically correct package.
The 1200 S features the same engine as the base-model 1200 – the second-generation Testastretta, 11-degree Dual-Spark 1198cc engine found in the Multistrada and Diavel. But the 401-lb. S receives a host of upgrades, including Ohlins suspension and larger Brembo Monoblock M50 brakes.
Ducati recently released an art-forward video that helps reinforce the idea of this naked motorcycle titled “Monster Instinct.” Humans all have “Monster Instinct” inside to portray their inner character, and this video shows that the Ducati Monster can help reveal that character.
