Bimota Releases DB12 B.Tourist & BB2 by sak_art

Bimota Motorcycles unveiled at EICMA

At EICMA 2012 in Milan, Biomota unveiled its latest creations – the DB12 B.Tourist and the BB2 designed by sak_art.

The BB2 concept was born from the important cooperation between Bimota and BMW Motorrad. This new cooperation will bring a lot of interesting surprises in the immediate future. Already in 2013 see the light of the BB2, a project that combines the unique style of Bimota, the talent of the Tuscan firm sak_art design and the 193-horsepower inline four, BMW Motorrad engine that powers the BMW S1000RR superbike.

The DB12 B.Tourist is the first sport tourer by Bimota. And at its heart is a Ducati Desmodromic Testastretta 4-valve 1198cc. Sak_art designed this model with a mission; a Bimota for the rider who loves to travel with rear passenger and experience the 365 days per year. But the bike still remains a Bimota; two souls in a name, B.Tourist…Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. The Bimota DB12 B.Tourist will be commercialized during the 2013.

Speaking of the design process, sak_art says: “Our planning program includes first sketches and digital design renderings. The next stage includes the study of aesthetic – functional practicability and the realization of 1/1 scale drawings, then the creation of the polyurethane exposition prototype in complete sinergy with our craftsmen. We give birth to concrete models ready for the product to be industrialized.”
