2011 AMA Motocross
One of the Memorial Day Weekend highlights for AMA Motocross fans was the Rockstar Freestone National on Saturday in Wortham, Texas.
Sweeping the second of 12 rounds in the 450 Motocross class was Two-Two Motorsports Honda rider Chad Reed. Taking second overall in Freestone behind Reed was Muscle Milk/Toyota/JGR Yamaha’s Davi Millsaps (4-2), and Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto (3-5) took third.
With three of four moto wins in two rounds, Reed now holds a 21-point lead over Villopoto.
In the 250 class, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Tyla Rattray, of South Africa, took the overall win with a 2-1 moto finish. Taking second overall was Rattray’s Kawasaki teammate, Dean Wilson (1-3 moto finish), with third overall going to DNA Shred Stix/Star Racing Yamaha’s Kyle Cunningham (3-4).
