Rain Postpones Day 1 in Estoril for Marquez

Moto2 News

After Marc Marquez’s intense training program last week -with five testing days- the Repsol Moto2 rider chose Tuesday to be cautious in his first test day – of the three days scheduled- at the Portuguese circuit of Estoril.

A heavy storm broke over Estoril and, although at 11 in the morning it had stopped raining and the strong wind seemed to be able to dry the track. In the end, Marc Marquez and his Repsol Moto2 team decided not to run.

After the good performance both at the Catalunya Circuit and the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Cheste, the 125cc MotoGP Champion just watched his rivals from the service road and prepared better for the Moto2 tests due Wednesday and the day after, as only three days ago he was running in Valencia.

The weather forecast for Tuesday is better, so if there is no other obstacle, Marquez will run for the first time on his Moto2 in the Portuguese track.
