Dainese D-Store: ‘Leathers of Champions’

Motorcycle Gear

The Dainese D-Store in Orange County California is hosting a limited-time showing of ‘Leathers Of Champions’ a museum-like display of leather suits from famous motorcycle roadracers of the past 25 years. It is a display of motorcycle racing protection technology.

There’s a lot of history here- some of these suits carried the rider to a World Championship. Highlights include suits from:

> Eddie Lawson’s 1986 500GP Championship year on a Marlboro Yamaha

> Troy Bayliss’ 2004 Marlboro Ducati MotoGP team

> Max Biaggi’s 2003 Camel Honda and 2001 Marlboro Yamaha MotoGP teams

> Nine-time World Champion Valentino Rossi

> Plus other suits from current AMA Superbike riders

You can see the development of racing protection technology through the years, from the design of knee pucks to titanium armor, as Dainese has always been at the forefront of racing safety.

‘Leathers of Champions’ is a free exhibit, hosted by the D-Store Orange County, 1645 Superior Ave., Costa Mesa, California. For more information call (949) 650-2300 or email d-store.orangecounty@dainese.com.
