Benelli Week 2025 Preview: Motorcycle Rides, Tributes in Pesaro

From September 15 to 21, 2025, Pesaro, Italy, will host the 15th Benelli Week, a seven-day event for motorcycle riders of all brands, organized by Registro Storico Benelli, Moto Club Pesaro Tonino Benelli, and Benelli QJ. Benelli Week 2025 honors nine-time Grand Prix motorcycle World Champion Mike Hailwood. Mike The Bike, as he was known, rode a Benelli in the 1962 Isle of Man Lightweight TT, raced a Benelli 500 at the 1968 Monza GP, and drew 70,000 fans at the 1971 Gran Premio Pesaro Mobili in Pesaro’s Villa Fastiggi.

Benelli Week 2025 Preview: Rides

Benelli Week 2025 focuses on riding. Each day starts at the Official Benelli Museum with rides through the Marche and Umbria regions.

On Monday, September 15, riders leave at 9:00 a.m. for a 137-mile trip to Monte Cucco (5138 feet elev.) in the Umbria-Marche Apennines. The route hits scenic hills and woods, with a lunch stop, and returns to Pesaro by 5 p.m.

Benelli Week 2025 Preview: Touring

Tuesday is a 124-mile ride to Loreto, where riders tour the Sanctuary of the Holy House with guides and eat a fish lunch on the Marina di Montemarciano seafront, returning by 5 p.m.

Wednesday covers 124 miles to Monte Nerone (5003 feet elev.), passing Urbino and Strada Comunale Capute—the latter known affectionately as Capute Street by Benelli tester riders. Lunch is at the top, with a 5 p.m. return.

Benelli Week 2025 Preview: Castles

Thursday, September 18, is a 93-mile ride to Monte Carpegna and Monte Cerignone. Riders taste coffee at Pascucci Coffee Company, tour the Rocca of Monte Cerignone, and ride back via the Strada Panoramica by 5 p.m.

 

Friday is the longest ride at 249 miles to Castelluccio di Norcia (4764 feet elev.) in the Sibillini Mountains, with views of Mount Vettore (8202 feet elev.). It includes 93 miles on highways, a lunch stop, and a 6 p.m. return time.

Saturday is an 87-mile trip to Arcevia, a beautiful village, with a guided tour of its nine castles and a lunch break. The ride ends at 5 p.m.

The week ends on Sunday, September 21, with La Musica della Moto, an ASI-registered event for Marco Benelli, who died in June 2025. He was the son of Giuseppe Benelli, one of the six brothers who founded Benelli and later MotoBi, a separate motorcycle company known for its egg-shaped engine designs. MotoBi, founded in 1949, merged with Benelli in 1962, but its distinct models continued under the Benelli-MotoBi brand until 1968.

The 31-mile ride goes to Gradara, a medieval village tied to Dante’s story of Paolo and Francesca. It includes a village tour, a Gioachino Rossini music performance, and a parade along Pesaro’s seafront with old and new Benelli bikes, plus 1960s and 1970s GP bikes, ending at the museum by 3:30 p.m.

Benelli Week 2025 Preview: Vintage Motorcycles

The Benelli Week 2025 rides cover scenic routes like coastal roads, mountain passes, and natural parks, with museum stops and village tours. Meetups are between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m., with departures at 8 or 9 a.m.
