Isle of Man TT Video Emotionalizes Art of True Road Racing | Video

Isle of Man TT Video

Since the first TT race in 1907, the Isle of Man – a 221-square mile island between Great Britain and Ireland in the Irish Sea – became the ultimate destination for the true road racer.

Those seeking to conquer the 37.73-mile Mountain Course are many, but those who actually conquer are few. The latest video that recaps the 2013 Tourist Trophy races is an artistic capsulation of this thought.

The video begins with stringed instruments playing Lynyrd Skynyrd’s epic song “Freebird,” and shows two men that have arrived at the island of motorcycling yore and conquered – 20-time TT winner John McGuinness and seven-time winner Michael Dunlop, the nephew of the winningest rider in TT history – the late Joey Dunlop (26 wins).

From there, the video reveals some of the finest images from the 2013 TT, unfolding emotions only found in the art of motorcycle racing.

As the video’s opening Steve McQueen quote says, “Racing is life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting.”

We concur. Enjoy the video…
