24 Hours of Le Mans: EWC Video Highlights

FIM Motorcycle Endurance World Championship

For the second consecutive year at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the SRC Kawasaki Endurance World Championship team was victorious.

The Pirelli-equipped SRC Kawasaki team of Julien da Costa, Gregory Leblanc and Olivier Four would finish 834 laps at Le Mans 24 Hours, Round four of five in the 2011 Endurance World Championship.

Joining the Pirelli-equipped Kawasaki team on the podium was the Suzuki Endurance Racing Team (SERT) of Anthony Delhalle, Daisaku Sakai and Baptiste Guittet (normal rider Vincent Philippe was injured) and the Monster Yamaha YART Team (Michelin) of Igor Jerman, Steve Martin and Loris Baz.

With its second-place finish, the Suzuki Endurance Racing Team retook the Endurance World Championship points lead with one round remaining at Qatar Nov. 12. SERT now leads BMW Motorrad France 99 by seven points. As for the BMW France team, it finished in seventh position at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, 17 laps down after having mechanical problems on the S1000RR.
