Last weekend, Valentino Rossi completed his second ride on the Ducati GP12, which the team is developing for 2012 MotoGP when rules allow a 1000cc capacity.

The nine-time World Champion piloted the Ducati GP12 around the Mugello circuit 60 times, directly reporting feedback to Ducati Techincal Director Filippo Preziosi.

After the test was complete, VR46 reported that “it was a positive test. We tested everything that Filippo had planned to try, and we’re satisfied because, although we’re still at a pretty early stage, we’re going in the right direction.”

The test-session was also the first time Rossi was at Mugello since breaking his leg there in 2010 MotoGP.
