Besides gaining Valentino Rossi as a new teammate for the 2011 MotoGP Championship, Ducati Team rider Nicky Hayden also gained a new leather sponsor: the Italian icon Dainese.

The Kentucky Kid, who used Alpinestars up until 2011, including when he took the 2006 title, talks about the Dainese motorcycle apparel in this YouTube video. In the video, Hayden gives a rundown of the Dainese leather suit and the d-air IPS system of his racing suit.

He arrived on the MotoGP scene in 2003, and raced with Honda until joining Ducati in 2009 with then partner Casey Stoner.

In 2011, Hayden placed the Ducati GP11 in ninth. But it was at a wet Jerez MotoGP that he gave Ducati its first podium of the season; Hayden is currently in fourth in the championship with 23 points.
