    Hacking and Hayden talk Daytona Sportbike race results Mid-Ohio

    Jamie Hacking returned to the podium at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course with a hard-fought race that saw him move back and forth amongst the podium positions, eventually finishing as the runner-up. Hayden brushed off the bad luck he’s recently had, putting in a great race to finish fifth. Hacking was hoping to put Saturday’s result behind him and he did just that with his sixth podium finish of the season. He shared the lead position for the last half of the race, but had to settle for second at the finish line.

    Jamie Hacking rode to his second podium finish of the weekend and took back the points lead during the second AMA Pro Daytona SportBike race of the weekend at Barber Motorsports Park. Consistent finishes all weekend helped Hacking build a three-point advantage in the points standings. Teammate Roger Hayden pulled in early in the race, finishing 37th.

    DiSalvo earned his second straight AMA Pro Daytona SportBike presented by AMSOIL Superpole and four different manufacturers were once again represented inside the top-four starting spots for the fourth time in as many race weekends in 2009.

    After posting the quickest time in basic qualifying, DiSalvo was the last of 10 riders to take to the track for single-lap Superpole qualifying. He proceeded to turn a lap at 1:28.816 (96.469 mph) on his No. 40 Team M4 Suzuki GSX-R600, which knocked Jamie Hacking off the top of the scoring pylon.
