MX Sports Pro Racing has released the pre-entry list for this Saturday’s Monster Energy Motocross National at Budds Creek MX Park in Mechanicsville, Md. The race serves as round 10 of the 2009 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship.
After making his return to motocross one week ago by racing in the 250 Class for the first time in a dozen years, GEICO Powersports Honda’s Kevin Windham will move into the familiar 450 Class for this weekend’s race.
After a pair of dominating performances this past weekend, Rockstar/Makita/Suzuki’s Chad Reed and Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Christophe Pourcel lead the charge into this Saturday’s Monster Energy Motocross National, round 10 of the 12-race Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship at legendary Budds Creek MX Park in Mechanicsville, Md.
The third and final round of the Monster Energy Triple Crown of Motocross will take place this weekend, providing an opportunity for Reed and Pourcel to take home $3,000 apiece.
Chad Reed celebrated his third consecutive 2009 AMA Motocross victory this past weekend at Unadilla Valley Sports Center in New Berlin, New York. The Australian rode flawlessly and swept both 30-minute motos to take the overall victory. This result is also Reed’s fourth win of the season. He currently leads the overall championship points standings with just three rounds to go. Reed was joined on the podium by Rockstar Makita Suzuki teammate Michael Byrne. Byrne has spent much of this year bouncing back form injury earlier in the year.
