PBR Custom Big Twin by Speed Merchant eBay Auction
Supporting a good cause through motorcycling is something we love to exploit, and beginning in May is another one of those causes.
This time, Pabst Blue Ribbon and Brandon Holstein of The Speed Merchant have teamed up to create a truly special big twin custom build to help support Operation Homefront’s Mission2Honor campaign. This eBay for Charity auction will feature the custom big twin Harley along with a few more goodies such as Loser Machine apparel and accessories.
All proceeds go to Operation Homefront, which supports military families in need. The national non-profit organization offers a wide variety of programs to assist veterans.
“When PBR came to me with the idea of building a custom motorcycle that would benefit military families, I was honored and excited,” said Holstein. “I have friends and family who have served, or are serving, in the military, so I wanted to build something that represented their strength and fortitude. The end result is what you see here, a full custom, bare bones, little hot rod. It’s a one of a kind motorcycle that will put a smile on the face of whoever wins it.”
“Operation Homefront is proud to partner with Pabst Blue Ribbon in supporting our military families,” said Brig Gen (ret) Robert Thomas, chief operating officer for Operation Homefront. “Their support helps us fund programs that build strong, stable, and secure military families, so that they can thrive –not simply get by – in the communities they’ve worked so hard to protect.”
May is the perfect month for the auction considering its Military Appreciation Month. Those who have chosen to serve or were drafted have given up many freedoms that the average man or woman tend to forget about. This auction is for those men and women who have served, as well as their families. Operation Homefront is encouraging anyone to help honor those who have served across the country by offering a helping hand or donation. The big twin has an estimated value of $25,000. The auction will open up on May 20, 2016, with an opening bid of $1. Closing May 30, the bike will go to the highest bidder and to our knowledge, has no reserve price. Here is the big part of the whole process: PBR will match the sale price of the bike and donate that amount as well. Whatever the ending price is, PBR will double it.
