Ian Hutchinson News
During the 2015 Isle of Man TT, Ian Hutchinson put in a dominate performance on the Team Traction Control Yamaha R6. He completed a double in the Monster Energy Supersport TT races, which helped him earn a total of 11 career-TT wins.
And for the 2016 IOM TT, Team Traction Control owner Keith Flint confirms that Hutchy will return to take on the Supersport class. Hutchinson will also compete for Team Traction Control at the North West 200 and Ulster Grand Prix.
During the 2015 TT, the “Bingley Bullet” was unstoppable in the Supersport races; he earned the first race by over seven seconds ahead of Bruce Anstey, and the second by almost 15 seconds ahead of the Kiwi Anstey. Hutchy’s performances in the 2015 TT also earned him the overall TT Championship with 111 points, 31 ahead of rival Anstey. Hutchinson also won the RL360 race, and earned podiums in the RST Superbike and PokerStars Senior TT.
In the superbike/superstock classes at the 2016 IOM TT, Hutchinson will campaign a Tyco BMW S1000RR.
Ian Hutchinson says: “It was an obvious decision to join the team on their Supersport bike after the results we had this year. Before the TT I had never ridden the bike until the first lap of practice and then we won both Supersport races so this feels perfect for me. It was so easy coming and riding with the team and we know what we can improve together for next year so we can move the job forward again.”
Grant Bunting, Team Traction Control Team Manager, says: “We are also really happy to be working with Hutchy again; we had a fantastic result with the clean sweep in the Supersport races at the TT last season and we know he will only come back stronger next year.”
