2016 Isle of Man TT Tickets
Although the 2015 international road-racing season has just closed with the Macau Grand Prix, tickets are already on sale for the 2016 Isle of Man TT and Classic TT races.
The 2016 TT tickets go on sale Saturday, Nov. 28 at the Official Isle of Man TT web shop or by calling the Customer Service Team on +44 (0) 1624 640 000.
The 2016 IOM TT schedule has been revised, and includes a new “Championship Day” with the solo and sidecar titles all being decided on the final day of racing, which is scheduled for June 10.
Once qualifying wraps up for the 2016 Isle of Man TT, the IOM TT race schedule begins with the RST Superbike Race and Sure Sidecar Race 1 on Saturday, May 31. This is followed Monday by the Monster Energy Supersport Race 1 and the RL360 Superstock Race. Wednesday’s IOM TT schedule gets underway with the SES TT Zero, followed by the Monster Energy Supersport Race 2 and concludes with the Bennetts Lightweight TT, which moves to its new slot, swapping with the Sure Sidecar Race 2, which will open Friday’s race program ahead of the PokerStars Senior TT.
In the solo classes, all eyes will once again be on John McQuinness, who earned two additional TT wins at the 2015 IOM TT with Senior TT and SES TT Zero victories. McGuinness now holds 23 TT wins, and is only three away from the record set by the late Joey Dunlop. People will also be observing other multi-team winners, including Michael Dunlop, Ian Hutchinson and Bruce Anstey.
In the sidecar class, new outright lap record holder Dave Molyneux will unite with Dan Sayle, undoubtedly a winning partnership with the most successful driver and most successful passenger in history back in tandem.
The 2016 Classic TT tickets are also on sale; this event features many of the TT’s fastest riders attempting record speeds on the famed 37.73-mile Mountain Course. The Classic TT features four races spread out between Saturday, August 27, and Monday, August 29.
