2015 MotoGP Tissot Watch Collection
Many season-concluding festivities occurred in Valencia following the season finale of the 2014 MotoGP Championship. Part of these festivities included the unveiling of the 2015 MotoGP Tissot Collection, which will be available beginning in January, 2015.
Tissot held an event that included Carmelo Ezpeleta – the CEO of Dorna Sports, MotoGP’s governing body, along with the ambassadors of the Swiss brand – Nicky Hayden, Stefan Bradl and Thomas Luthi.
François Thiébaud, President of Tissot, presented Ezpeleta with the collection, which includes two Tissot T-Race MotoGP Limited Edition 2015 watches – one mechanical piece limited to 3333 pieces, and the other powered by a quartz movement produced in a series of 8,888 pieces.
The 2015 collection was also given a fresher look: “A sharp new case design adds an angular edge while new pushers, shaped like bike foot rests, nod to Tissot’s sporting heritage. Back suspension rods that are illustrated in the bracelet’s attachment to the case will keep the adrenaline pumping.
“The familiar features that make these the ultimate sports watches remain, of course, and are better than ever. The famous brake disk illustration is still a sleek and elegant feature just like the black bezel and magnifying glass over the date display. Dynamic GT stripe embellishment will inspire wearers to go faster and be the best they can be, a message that is reinforced by Tissot’s MotoGP ambassadors.”
During the event, Hayden, Bradl and Luthi also received their personalized limited-edition watches
Speaking at the event, Thiébaud said “Tissot is proud of its strong association with MotoGP. The innovative and dynamic nature of the sport matches Tissot’s spirit perfectly. We both strive to enhance technology to provide better performances time after time.
“The latest exclusive timepieces dedicated to MotoGP not only celebrate this alliance through the motorbike features, such as the break-disc bezel, but also a precision that matches that of our timekeeping. As the sport evolves and timing gets tougher, we keep up-to-date with all the latest technologies to provide the utmost accuracy, as does everyone involved in MotoGP races.”
Ezpeleta says “Tissot is one of our most trusted and long term partners of the MotoGP World Championship and once again they have produced an exclusive range of watches which perfectly match the precision and cutting edge nature of Grand Prix racing. We are delighted to see the new models and we are sure that our fans throughout the world will be quick to embrace next year’s Official MotoGP watch collection.”
