Triumph Recalls 2013 Trophy SE

Triumph Motorcycles America LTD has recalled 416 of its Trophy SE sport-touring motorcycle due to center-stand issues.

Triumph says the left-hand center-stand mount may fracture on the affected Trophy SE motorcycles, which were built from June 1, 2012 through Feb. 28, 2013.

Triumph says if the center mount fractures, it will not provide adequate support for the center stand while the vehicle is parked and may cause the motorcycle to fall over, increasing the risk of injury to those nearby.

Triumph will notify owners, and dealers will install a new center stand bracket to the left hand side of the motorcycle frame. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Customers may contact Triumph at

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
