2013 BMW Motorrad USA October Sales Report
Once again, BMW Motorrad USA has reported a positive month of sales. The Bavarian motorcycle manufacturer’s latest report arrived for October 2013.
BMW Motorrad USA says its dealer network sold 1,067 motorcycles in October compared to 865 units in the same period of 2012. This shows a 23.4-percent increase.
But it wasn’t only motorcycles; BMW says maxi scooters sales also were on the rise. BMW says 57 maxi scooters were sold in October 2013 compared to 33 of October 2012. This shows a 73-percent increase.
Percentage wise, the F series (F 800 GT, F 800 GS, etc.) was the leader in October 2013. BMW says 219 F Series models were sold in 2013 compared to 136 in 2012, showing an increase of 61 percent.
Next was the R1200GS; with the arrival of the 2014 BMW R1200GSW, BMW says 314 units were sold, showing a growth of 52 percent over October 2012.
Superbike sales were also up four percent. BMW says it sold 142 S1000RR and HP4 superbikes in October 2013.
