In an electrifying three rounds of Superpole, Aprilia’s Sylvain Guintoli ignored his injured shoulder to take win Superpole as time ran out. Kawasaki’s Tom Sykes was pipped at the last moment, and will start in the center of the front row for the weekend. Eugene Laverty put in a blisteringly fast qualifying time on his Aprilia before crashing out later in the session. He fills out the front row. Canepa was fourth on a Ducati, and the last rider to run a 1:22-range lap.
