2013 Brno MotoGP Video
The Czech Republic Grand Prix at Brno Sunday marked the middle of a three back-to-back race weekends in the 2013 MotoGP Championship.
The weekend before, Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez earned his third straight victory at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Spaniard quickly becoming a favorite at Brno.
And the 20-year-old lived up to this favoritism, taking a fourth straight victory with another impressive performance at the sweeping Brno circuit. His win marked five out of 11 rounds so far, a new record for any rookie ever competing in the MotoGP premier class.
Marquez was joined on the Brno podium by the two same Spaniards who filled the podium at Indy – teammate Dani Pedrosa and the reigning MotoGP Champion, Yamaha Factory Racing’s Jorge Lorenzo.
With his win, Marquez leads Pedrosa by 26 points, and Lorenzo by 44 as the series heads directly to Silverstone this weekend.
