2013 World SBK Provisional Entry List
The FIM has released the “provisional permanent entry list” for the 2013 World Superbike Championship.
The 2013 World SBK grid features 19 riders representing 12 teams. BMW (S1000RR), Aprilia (RSV4) and Kawasaki (ZX-10R) will field four bikes each, Ducati (1199 Panigale) three, and Honda (CBR1000RR) and Suzuki (GSX-R1000) two each.
The grid will be missing one key rider, also – Max Biaggi. The reigning World SBK champion, who won two WSBK titles with Aprilia (2010, 2011) has retired from professional motorcycle racing.
As the World SBK series enters its 26th year, 15 rounds will be featured on the schedule. The newest additions for 2013 WSBK will be the Buddh International Circuit in India, Jerez in Spain, and Laguna Seca in the U.S.
