2012 Valencia MotoGP | Video Highlights

MotoGP Season Finale Video

With Yamaha Factory Racing’s Jorge Lorenzo already securing the 2012 MotoGP title at the penultimate round in Australia, there wasn’t much pressure for the top riders at the season finale in Valencia Sunday.

But this didn’t stop the riders from battling as they did all year. And like all season, the main battle at Valencia was between Lorenzo and the man who finished second in the 2012 MotoGP Championship, Repsol Honda’s Dani Pedrosa.

As the Spaniards battled on their native soil, it would be Pedrosa who took the win after Lorenzo crashed out of the lead on a damp track with one main dry line. When Lorenzo crashed on lap 13 of 30, Pedrosa became the leader, and ran a clean race until taking the checkered flag.

Joining Pedrosa on the Valencia MotoGP podium was Ben Spies replacement on the Yamaha Factory Racing YZR-M1, Katsuyuki Nakasuga, and the other Repsol Honda rider, the retiring Casey Stoner.
