Dean Harrison, a 23-year-old road racer who competes on the Bristol-based RC Express Racing Kawasaki, has received factory backing from Kawasaki for the 2013 Isle of Man TT.

Harrison is one of the UK’s most promising road-racing stars. Although he only piloted the RC Express Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R for a few days prior to the Southern 100, he took the fastest newcomer award at the event, which is held on Isle of Man’s Billown course.

Harrison then took second at July’s Cock O’ the North Continental Road Races at Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough, along with a top 10 at the Ulster Grand Prix. During the Ulster GP, he was the first-ever newcomer to achieve 130mph average lap.

Kawasaki Motors UK will provide direct support for RC Express Racing the remainder of 2012 and throughout 2013.

Roy and Ben Constable (Father and Son Team Owners of RC Express Racing) say: “After only deciding to start a race team earlier this year, getting Dean on board and receiving this valuable support from Kawasaki Motors UK is far beyond where we imagined we would be.

“If Dean continues to improve at the rate of knots he has so far we’ll be absolutely delighted”

Ross Burridge (Kawasaki Motors UK) says: “We have been keenly watching Dean’s progress this year and are understandably impressed.

“We spoke to Roy and Ben at Team RC Express Racing and agreed on a mutually beneficial support package. Naturally it is our desire to see this enthusiastic new team flourish and achieve even better results moving forward. Roll on 2013 and the Isle of Man TT festival!”
