Honda World Superbike Corners, Episode 2
Attached above is episode two of five in the Honda World Superbike Team’s SBK Classic Corners series.
Episode two visits the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, which is located in Northern Italy near Bologna, and its famed Acque Minerali section.
The Acque Minerali, named after the park the Imola circuit is contained within, starts with “a 140 mph left-handed crest followed by a downhill approach into two dramatic right-handers, before a contrasting ascent that requires a challenging change of direction.”
In the video above, current Honda World Superbike rider Jonathan Rea describes the optimal way around the section, with historical context arriving from Eurosport’s Jack Burnicle and Carlo Fiorani from Honda Motor Europe.
Check out what the group had to say about the Acque Minerali in the video above.
The SBK Classic Corners series shows footage and provides commentary on some of the most iconic corners in World Superbike, all of them currently on the WSBK calendar: Turn 12 at Phillip Island (video above), Acque Minerali at Imola, Gert Timmer at Assen, the Parabolica at Monza and Craner Curves at Donington.
