2012 Kawasaki World Superbike

With many Superpole successes and a WSBK race winning pedigree under its belt, the new Ninja ZX-10R, and Kawasaki Racing Team rider Tom Sykes, are becoming a familiar sight in the winners enclosure and at rostrum celebrations.

To illustrate the amazing performance of the factory Kawasaki Ninja, the Kawasaki Racing Team, Kawasaki and Motocard recently gave a select group of European journalists the chance to experience the race winning machine for themselves shortly after the Spanish round at the Aragon Motorland circuit.

Riding the exact specification of machine that had been competing for Superbike honors a short time earlier, each journalist was given the chance to ride fast laps and to have a data trace made of their ride to discuss with the Kawasaki Racing Team technicians.

To say they were impressed is an understatement – but it was not simply the outright speed or huge power that impressed. Many journalists also commented on the tractability and poise of a machine closely related to the road going Ninja ZX-10R that can be bought from any Kawasaki motorcycle dealer.

Guim Roda (Team Principle of the Provec Racing and Kawasaki Racing Team) says: “For Kawasaki the Ninja philosophy is to race in WSBK and Stock 1000 a bike that customers can see is strongly related to their own machine.

“Our goal is clear, to translate these many Superpoles into more wins and, ultimately, Championship success. We hope that people enjoy seeing this video and take note of the many positive comments of the journalists.”
