2012 Isle of Man TT
At the 2012 Isle of Man TT, famed-female racer Maria Costello will compete aboard the Pr1mo Bournemouth Kawasaki ZX10R in the Dainese Superbike, Royal London 360 Superstock and PokerStars Senior.
But Costello won’t just stop there; she will also compete in both Monster Energy Supersport races on the Cookstown/BE Racing Yamaha R6 and will race her Hol-Taj-backed Kawasaki ER6 Supertwin “pizza race bike” in the BikerPetition.co.uk Lightweight TT.
Competing in this many events takes some major backing, and the Northamptonshire-based rider has just unveiled her new sponsor – the European Shoe Machinery Company Ltd.
Maria Costello says: “I’m immensely grateful for this support from ESM. They also support the Pr1mo Bournemouth Kawasaki team and that connection has lead to them supporting me.”
The Isle of Man TT reports that the European Shoe Machinery Company Ltd is a leading manufacturer of high performance Goodyear welted footwear machinery and precision engineers of replacement parts for USM and BUSM shoemaking machinery.
Based in Kettering, Northamptonshire, ESM has a long history of supporting many riders on the short circuit racing scene, but this will be their first time supporting a woman road racer.
Roberto Petrozzi (ESM Owner) says: “Maria was brought to our attention when she agreed to ride the Pr1mo ZX10. We had some meetings and her professionalism and determination are what really impressed us. We hope our support makes the difference and helps her secure a personal best at this year’s TT races.”
