Qatar MotoGP: Jorge Lorenzo Wallpaper

2012 MotoGP Wallpaper

With much patience, Yamaha Factory Racing’s Jorge Lorenzo took the 2012 MotoGP Championship season opener at Losail International Circuit in Qatar last weekend.

Under the floodlights, Lorenzo started from the pole for the debut race with the 1000cc machines, but lost first place on lap three to the reigning MotoGP Champion, Repsol Honda’s Casey Stoner.

But it wasn’t Stoner’s race; the Australian did lead 16 of 22 laps, but couldn’t hold off an attack by his rival, Yamaha Factory Racing’s Jorge Lorenzo.

The 2010 MotoGP Champion Lorenzo, who started from the pole, took the lead off Stoner on lap 19, and went on to take the first win of 2012 MotoGP. Finishing second was the other Repsol Honda rider, Dani Pedrosa, who passed his teammate on the final laps.

Stoner ended the day in third, and following the race the reigning MotoGP Champion complained of arm pump.
