2012 MotoGP Official Testing
The Ducati Team duo of Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden got their first impressions Tuesday of the totally revamped GP12 that will be used in the 2012 MotoGP Championship.
These impressions arrived following the first day of official testing for 2012 MotoGP at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia.
Besides being Rossi’s and Hayden’s first ride on the GP12, it was also the first time the prototype appeared to the public. Many have anticipated the first official images of the Ducati GP12, which are attached above.
During Tuesday’s test, the first of three days in the Sepang I session, Rossi posted the fifth fastest time of 2:02.392, which was 0.735 of a second slower than the test leader, Yamaha Factory Racing’s Jorge Lorenzo.
As for Hayden, who sustained injury over break while practicing on a flat track, posted the 10th fastest time of 2:03.151, which was 1.494 seconds behind Lorenzo.
