The details are scarce, but a Ducati MotoGP Test Team of World Superbike’s Carlos Checa and Franco Battaini wrapped up a three-day test of the GP12 Thursday at Jerez, Spain.

The two completed the GP12 "shakedown" on the machines that Ducati Team riders Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden will pilot during the first official test in Sepang, Malaysia, Jan. 31 through Feb. 2.

Following the "shakedown" test, which was directed by Technical Director Filippo Preziosi, the machines were further anaylzed in the pit garage by Team Manager Vittoriano Guareschi.

Ducati MotoGP says: "During the three days, in which weather conditions were cold but fortunately dry , the work program was completed without any problems enabling the team to complete all checks in preparation to start the winter tests in Sepang."

The 2012 18-round MotoGP schedule begins at Qatar April 7, and concludes at Valencia Nov. 11.
