HJC Helmets: 2012 Motorcycle Race Team

2012 HJC Pro Racers

HJC, a maker of motorcycle helmets, has four pro racers in its 2012 sponsorship lineup, including the American Ben Spies (Yamaha Factory Racing) in MotoGP.

HJC says: "This newly expanded lineup underscores our commitment to the sport and it also exemplifies why HJC Helmets, including our new line of high-tech RP series helmets, continues to be #1 in the world-by design."

Following are the list of riders HJC has sponsored for 2012:

Ben Spies – RPS 10
A multi-time champion in AMA Superbike and World Superbike racing, Spies won his first MotoGP in 2011 with the Yamaha Factory Racing Team. This GP victory places him in the company of elite American riders including Kenny Roberts, Wayne Rainey, Eddie Lawson, Kevin Schwantz, Freddie Spencer and more.

Larry Pegram-RPS 10
A long-time mainstay in AMA racing, Pegram began his pro racing career in 1993. He has been a winner aboard 600cc and Superbikes over the course of his career. Foremost Insurance / Pegram Racing will campaign a BMW S 1000 RR in the 2011 AMA American Superbike Championship.

Matt Buyten-CL-X6
Boasting all-around creds as a solid freestyler, Buyten is perhaps best known for his Step Up skills, backed by three X Games Gold Medals. His epic Step Up battle with Jeremy McGrath is an X Games legend; he made 17 attempts despite popping his shoulder out of its socket twice!

Kyle Chisholm-CL-X6
Riding for the newly formed Jeff Ward Racing Kawasaki team, Chisholm is a proven winner, having won a championship in the CMRC Canadian Motocross East MX2 series as well as the 29th edition of the world famous Bercy Paris Supercross, which earned him the title of King of Bercy in 2011.
