FIM News

The Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) proudly launched Thursday its new hospitality unit on the occasion of the first European Round of the FIM MotoGP World Championship.

As this important facility made its inaugural launch FIM President – Vito Ippolito was on hand to cut the ribbon and to declare the “FIM House” open.

The Jerez unit will be present at a number of selected events at various different FIM World Championships throughout the 2011 season, to enhance and strengthen the relationship between the FIM and the motorcycle racing community.

This new facility will give the FIM a central and recognised base to meet with various parties within the paddock in order to develop and promote all aspects of motorcycle sport.

Vito Ippolito says: “I think that this is a big and important step for the FIM, and one that we believe is a priority, if we are to work more closely with the championship organizers, promoters, teams, riders and media in the future. This new unit now gives us a clear identity, so everyone knows that we are here and that we are available to meet and talk.”
