American Chopper: May 30, 2011 Recap

Senior Vs. Junior: Episode 6, Season 2

The Memorial Day episode of Discovery’s American Chopper: Senior Vs. Junior started with some exciting news. Father and son (Paul Teutul Senior and Paul Teutul Jr.) will face off on the build of their lives.

Cadillac has asked both Orange County Choppers and Paul Jr. Designs to make a bike. After the custom motorcycles, are unveiled they will be auctioned off and all of the proceeds will be donated to duchenne research, which is a form of muscular dystrophy.

Orange County Choppers and Paul Jr Designs were both at Cadillac on the same day. Their paths crossed while they were walking down the hallway. Paul Jr. said hello to the group. Senior Teutul didn’t acknowledge him and then commented that Junior is scared and that for every one bike PJD builds OCC builds two.

After today the competition is on. The people at Cadillac feel that Senior is old school and Junior is from the heart. As Senior talks to Jason about the design of the bike he said Junior can not punk out.

He doesn’t know the quality of bike PJD will make but he knows OCC will make a better bike. Paul Sr. feels that Jason is a better designer. In his opinion, Pauly Jr. used to tweak Jason’s designs and take credit for it.

Drama continues as Senior tells the OCC team that Junior couldn’t submit a drawing because he doesn’t know how to do one so he is going to do it out of his head or out of his ass one of the two. The feeling at OCC is that there is no way he can compete on the technological end.

Over at Paul Jr. Designs the inspiration has arrived. Paul Jr. brought the Cadillac CTS coupe in white and black. PJD feels that OCC is going to pull out all the stops. However who needs drawings when you have the real thing? The PJD team is pulling parts right off of the car cutting them down and replicating them.

Finally news about the settlement. Viewers of American Chopper: Senior Vs. Junior know that the first offer was shot down. This time Senior reaches out to his son directly via email. Senior told Pauly Jr. he felt it was time to talk, start some sort of dialogue and to head in a positive direction.

Paul Junior got the email from his Dad and feels that the offer is pretty good. There are only a couple of details that need to be worked out. This was all done without the attorneys and Pauly feels that this is a good thing.

OCC is playing the build down but they are feeling that this bike may end up being the best bike build ever. Senior feels that PJD is being extra careful not to let any details of the build out but through rumors they found out that they have two Cadillacs.

Teutel Sr. didn’t like some of the details on the bike so he requested some changes be made. Pauly Jr’s team also was having some discussions with what color to paint the bike, white or black.

The last scene is Pauly Junior and his wife Rachael Teutul discussing Senior’s offer. Pauly wants it to be over already and is thinking of conceding but the other half of him feels the offer will keep changing. They are both happy that this two-year battle could be over very soon, and we should now in an upcoming episode of American Chopper: Senior Vs. Junior.
