2012 MotoGP Testing Video

On Tuesday in Jerez, Casey Stoner got his first taste of the 2012 Honda prototype, a 1000cc version that will be allowed to run in 2012 MotoGP.

Wednesday was supposed to be Dani Pedrosa’s test day on the Honda, but due to injury he sustained in France, the decision by the Honda Racing Corporation team was to have Stoner test again.

As each manufacturer only has eight days of testing during the season with contracted riders on the 2012 machine, HRC first evaluated Tuesday’s data to help decide whether or not to use a test day on Wednesday.

And the team decided to go ahead and complete another day of testing with Stoner and test-rider

Ito Shinichi to finish up everything that was originally planned.

Casey Stoner lapped the Jerez circuit 25 times in the morning session, and Sininichi finished the afternoon session.

HRC engineers reported they were happy with the data acquired on the 2012 Honda 1000cc MotoGP prototype.

Attached is a video of Stoner at the test.
