This weekend, the 2011 World Superbike Championship heads to Donington Park in the UK, which will be celebrating 80 years of motorcycle racing. This will be a home race for Castrol Honda CBR1000RR World Superbike rider Jonathan Rea; in the attached video, Rea, his teammate Ruben Xaus and Team Manager Ronald ten Kate describe "the unique features of the historic 4.023km (2.5 mile) circuit that sits in the very heart of England, close to Robin Hood country." At the opening round of World Superbike at Phillip Island, Australia, Rea finished 12th in Race 1, and fourth in Race 2. Rea was still in pain from a horrific high-side at Phillip Island testing earlier that week. Adapting to the Honda CBR1000RR over the BMW S1000RR that he competed on in 2010 WSBK, Xaus finished 16th in Race 1, and 10th in Race 2.
